Good day, and welcome to the first part of our online business training. You will note that this training is labeled by day, but that does not mean that you will have to follow through on it each day, though that would be the best option.
Just start from the beginning, and go through the training one day at a time at a pace that is convenient for you. It is better for you to go through it step by step and really understand the concepts rather than rushing through.
However, no matter how slow you go, keep moving forward according to the time convenient for you.
How to Best Use This Online Business Training
If you want to get the most out of this training, I would suggest that you go through each session multiple times and not just once. Repetition helps to solidify your memory and grasp of the knowledge contained within this course.
What I like to do when I am learning or going through a new course is to go through it very quickly and briefly the first time, take a break and let the knowledge settle in, and then go through it again the second time while taking notes. Then another time while carrying out the steps and putting them in action.
Different people have different styles of learning, so I would suggest that you experiment and find out the method of learning that works most efficiently and easily for you.
In the end, whether you are working or starting your own business, understanding how to best consume knowledge is something that will help you greatly, especially since we are living in the information age. Constantly consuming information has become more of a necessity than a choice.
What is an Online Business?
I would like to begin this session by introducing to you the world of online business. I’m sure that a lot of you reading through this session today are new to the world of online business and that’s why I want to introduce to you the concept first.
There is basically not a lot of difference between a normal, everyday brick and mortar business and an online business. They are all businesses in the end and the primary goal is to earn some money.
The key difference lies in the fact that an online business is mainly conducted online, and it removes a lot of the risk and overhead cost associated with a normal business.
Because of the way an online business works, it is very easy to get started and there are a lot of benefits associated with it.
Benefits of Having Your Own Online Business
If I wanted to mention all the benefits of having your own online business, it would really take much longer than necessary, because there are just so many benefits and good things about taking the plunge and going into your own entrepreneurial project. But let me just touch on a few of the key attractions…
01. You are your own boss. When you have your own business, you are the boss, and you assume all the responsibilities of your own online business. You are accountable to no one but yourself, and you won’t have to be worried about getting fired if you make a simple mistake. Since you’re the boss, you won’t get trash-talked by employees in the company who have been there longer than you either. 
02. A path to passive income. Unlike a normal brick and mortar business, an online business runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There are no opening or closing hours. You don’t have to be there for the business to run. This means that you can earn money even while you are sleeping, travelling, or playing basketball in the summer. There is a level of passiveness to the income you can earn.
03. A path to financial freedom. There is a possibility of earning more with your own online business than you do with your day job. Chances are, you might even be getting a terrible pay with your day job and struggling to pay off the expenses. Having a strong business enables you to earn enough money to keep yourself financially free, but reaching there depends on your own effort.
04. Working from anywhere. Since business is conducted online, you can work from home, from the coffee shop, or even your hotel room in Guatemala. There is flexibility, and there is freedom. You can work anytime you want, wearing any type of clothes you want, and snacking on any type of snacks you want.
05. Opportunities abound. When you have the freedom of running your own business, you will realize that there are so many opportunities everywhere. Unlike a normal day job, where you only get a $100 pay raise once a year, and you struggle not to get fired with the next down-sizing, with your own business you keep looking forward with unlimited possibilities.
06. Improving your self. I will be the first one to tell you that an online business is not something that everyone can manage. It takes a certain amount of discipline and determination to reach the level of success that you desire. Along the way, you will meet with setbacks, but because this business belongs to you, you have a greater determination to overcome them and to grow.
07. Learn while you earn. When you have a normal job, typically learning new stuff stops after the first year. After that, it’s all repetition on using what you already know day in day out. Even if you learn something new, it’s quite seldom and often boring if you have a boring job. An online business gives you the opportunity to expand your knowledge while earning money from it.
08. Time for yourself. If you are working a tough day job, chances are you have very little time for yourself, your family, and your friends. By the time you reach home each day, you are exhausted, and you don’t feel like doing anything at all. When you have established your own business with money coming in by yourself, you will start to have more time than you ever had. 
A Word of Warning
Well, now I have fed your mind with some good dreams and images of relaxation and luxury I suppose. But don’t be fooled, you won’t be successful in developing your own business, or anything else in life for that matter, if you have a half-hearted attitude.
Not everyone who goes through this course will succeed. Many will fail, many will stop halfway through, and many will finish it up and get too lazy to put it into action.
This is a business, and you need to treat it like one. You need the determination and commitment to keep moving forward regardless of the obstacles that have been set before you.
You will have to grow, you will have to adapt. Along the way, don’t expect anyone to be spoon-feeding you with small teaspoons. You will sometimes need to start moving forward on your own limbs.
I can help you with some things through this course, but you can’t rely or expect other people to hold your hand all the way through 24/7. As an adult, as a man, as a woman, as a human being, take responsibility for your own life.

“I don’t have enough time. I don’t get paid enough. I have a horrible job. My parents didn’t teach me well enough. My boss and colleagues are causing a lot of problems for me. I’m not smart enough. I have just too much on my mind right now. There’s so much wrong information out there. Yada yada yada… ”
Like I said before, it doesn’t matter what your circumstances are, you are responsible for your own life and no one else. Keep this in mind, and be prepared to work hard and responsibly to reach your goals…
Internet Marketing and Online Business
Throughout this course, you may find me using the terms ‘online business’ and ‘internet marketing’ interchangeably. Internet marketing simply refers to the various promotional techniques that help to get more exposure to something through online media.
I use these terms interchangeably because marketing is an integral part of the online business arena, or any other business for that matter. However, your online business is going to be built up using internet marketing as a strong center. You can create a whole business for yourself just promoting other people’s businesses and getting paid for it and that becomes your business.

Overview of the Things to Come
Well, there are a lot of different aspects of building and running an online business. It is not much different from a normal business, except for somethings, and any principles you learn here can easily be applied to other businesses.
You will be learning a lot of additional items that are necessary for building an online business though, like computer care, personal care, mindset, productivity, and more.
At the end of each chapter, you will find an assignment that you will need to complete before going on to the next chapter too. Make sure you go through these assignments in order to get yourself up and running.
